BITHERMIC CALORIC STIMULATOR

BCS (BITHERMIC CALORIC STIMULATOR) allows executing the caloric test, the most useful test in vestibular examination . The user can easily set-up and memorises 10 test protocols, which contains all the parameters responsible for the stimulus intensity: temperature, duration and volume of irrigating water. These parameters are exactly controlled and displayed on the control panel during the test execution. Designed to supply precise and quick test, BCS has the following features:

* Two separate water tanks and irrigating channels to eliminate the warming waiting time and execute the simultaneous or sequential stimulation
* The pump makes a continuous water circulation from the tank to the injector (equipped with an electrovalve) for the maximum precision of the stimulating temperature.
* Reduced maintenance and cleaning problems with the use of distilled water over the traditional systems with tap water.

BCS is composed by:

* Microcontroller card to control all functions
* Easily viewable display, also during the stimulation, for the visualisation of temperature, duration and volume of irrigating water
* LCD back-lighting alphanumerical display (2 rows, 16 columns) to set-up test protocol and show error messages
* Membrane keyboard
* 2.5 litres water tanks
* Water temperature sensors
* Tank water level sensors
* Safety over-temperature switch (max 50°C) with separate safety electronic circuit
