RHINOMANOMETRY > RYNOZIG
The Wireless Rhinomanometry The rhinomanometry represents the basic methodology to investigate the nasal permeability. Ryno Kit and Ryno Compact allow recording, storing and calculating of the following rhinomanometric parameters: nasal pressure, nasal flow. The recording unit of Ryno Kit and Ryno Compact is constituted by a modified gas-mask, in which the pressure and flow transducers take place. This way of recording is very compact and reliable and the accuracy of the measurement is very high, since the signals are preamplified inside the mask itself. The two kinds of rhinomanometric investigations used in Ryno Kit and Ryno Compact are the Active Anterior Rhinomanometry (RAA) and the Active Posterior Rhinomanometry (RPA).
The Ryno software in Windows 98/2000/Xp allows the following analysis: sigmoidal analysis with evaluation of the flow levels, resistances at selectable pressures and rays, flow percent increments, and the graphics of the right, left and total sigmoids; sinusoidal analysis with computation of mean inspiratory and expiratory current volumes and respiratory frequency
